Quickly add screenshots in Aha!
Updated: Jun 5, 2019
The functionality of the text editor in Aha! has come a long way over the years and the current editor is powerful and feature rich. One of our favourite features is the ability to paste a screenshot directly into the text editor without needing to save the screenshot as an image first and then upload it to Aha! second.
If you are using a Mac, the following keyboard shortcuts should work in OSX:
Control (⌃) + Shift (⇧) + Command (⌘) + 3 will capture the entire screen
Control (⌃) + Shift (⇧) + Command (⌘) + 4 will allow you to capture just a selection of the screen
The important key here is Control (⌃) which instructs OSX to keep the screenshot in memory rather than save as a file.
Next, go to the text editor (perhaps a feature or activity description field) and place the cursor where you want the screenshot. Lastly, press Command (⌘) + V which will upload the image to Aha! and automatically paste the screenshot at your cursor location.

Now you can create rich, detailed information in Aha! adding screenshots with ease anywhere where you have the rich text editor. Plus, there are no more intermediate screenshot files cluttering up your desktop either.
Bliss.
Note: Windows / Linux users may well have similar functionality in their OS too. Let us know and we can add it to this article!
